Those new to the sport or with very little training are required to complete basic training.  These series of classes provide fundamental skills, terminology and rules.  It is easy to pretend to fence, but it takes work to be a fencer!

Monday and Thursday

  1. 6:00 - 7:00PM, youth group instruction (elementary school ages)
  2. 7:00 - 8:00PM, senior group instruction (middle school to adult)

Open fencing for the senior ages begins at 7:00 and runs until 8:30.  Any fencer found to conduct themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner or to fence in an abnormal and unsafe way will be denied further service.

A friendly and helpful community

Orlando Fencing Club has a long hisotry of welcoming fencers from all over the state and providing them a venue for additional practice.  Not all of our members were trained locally and skill level varies greatly.  Our experienced members are encouraged to help newer fencers in a proud tradition of teamwork.  However, please note the following:

1) The City of Orlando and the United States Fencing Association has strict rules for registered coaches.  As such, Coach Jennifer Seachrist is the only  coach for the club registered with the City of Orlando.  No other member or visitor may conduct drills or provide private lessons.

2) Coach Jason Seachrist and Assistant Natasha Stout are volunteers for the club are regisetered with the City of Orlando.

3) All three of the above individuals are listed with the USFA and have been SafeSport certified.
